About Me
Hi! My name is Jodi and I am an aspiring web developer.
Before now, you could find me climbing mountains in Alaska and swimming in the waters of Hawaii.
I grew up in a small town in New Mexico, climbing hay bails and playing hide and seek in corn fields, spending our summers in Mexico at the property my family owned and used to build homes for families and orphans; some of my favorite memories.
When I became older, I was determined to see more of the world. And that, I did.
I traveled to five countries with a missions organization after high school; which only planted the travel bug even deeper. Taking me to a few more countries and moving to different states.
I put off pursuing a career for the reason of not fully knowing what I really wanted to dive into head first. Then, there was a web development bootcamp.
Barely any questions asked, I knew I needed to learn and pursue this.
I have always liked creating easy template websites for friend's school portfolios/resumes or family's businesses, I thought, 'why would I not pursue the real deal?' Template websites are only good for sparing you a headache.
But with headache and all, learning to code has been an extremely exciting journey that I only get more excited about.
I have now settled down a bit, and am living in Fort Collins, Colorado with my fiancé and our alaskan malamute, Wazza. We still both enjoy traveling when we can, but are eager to start our careers and life together.
In my free time you can find me doing anything creative, enjoying the great outdoors, taking up a few photography gigs or taking photos of my adventures.
